Christian Appalachian Project and Sarah’s Place Team up for Success
Ameri Corps Vista volunteer, Jeanie Gee, will be serving
with us for the next year.
As a member of Sarah’s Place
she will be doing research and
grant writing.
She is excited about
the opportunity to serve and
learn more about our commu-
nity. Having grown up in East-
ern Kentucky she feels very
lucky to be a part of an organi-
zation that contributes to the
community in so many ways.
She is looking forward to a
successful year and having a
lot of fun while completing it.
Jeanie is a ‘07 graduate of
Morehead State University
and holds a Bachelors Degree
in Communications with an em-
phasis in Public Relation and
Advertising and an Art Degree
with an emphasis in Studio
Art. She has two children An-
drew and Jessica Robertson.
Andrew is a freshman at
Morehead State University
and Jessica is a senior at
Rowan County High School.
 Walking for a purpose—
(CDC style)
Spring really will make it this
year, and plans for our annual
“non-walk” walk- a-thon. are in full
swing. There will be lots of games,
food, and prizes for the little
ones.
The best part is that you
can help us out and don’t even
have to walk. You can sponsor one
of our children, Precious or Bella,
our resident cats, or one of the
staff and they will be glad to walk for you.
This is our major fundraiser for the Child Development Center so
everyone get into the spirit and help make this a huge success!

Dear S. Sally:
My name is Kayla Adams. My family and I lost our home due to a fire. It burned completely to the ground last Thursday, April 14, 2010. We lost everything, even the money that was in my purse. We need everything. Anything would help us. We appreciate the diapers you all gave us. We thank God everyday for saving our lives from the fire and for looking over us every day. Here are our clothing sizes and a few other things we could use if someone could help. Everything that people could do for us we would appreciate greatly.
God bless each and everyone of you.
Kayla, Jimmy, Brook & Zoe Adams.
If you would like to help this family, you may contact us here at Sarah’s Place, (606) 738-4270 for sizes or if you would like to donate a gift card or money order, you may send it to: Sarah’s Place P. O. Box 197, Sandy Hook, Kentucky 41171.
Please be sure to designate any donations to the Adams Family.
Please let us know you visited!
